Corvette Fun

I have always been a lover of fine sports cars. The Corvette is known as America's greatest and favorite sports car. It's the most famous Chevrolet of all. From it's debut in 1953 to the present time and date, it has remained true to its two-seat sports car heritage. It is a true icon.

Texas Land & Cattle Steak House ( Denton ) Nice line up of Corvettes. Yes, that's Markham back there trying to upstage his 'Vette. Just another nice view of the cars. Here's one more nice pic of the cars. I sure like parking next to Markham. He's the only one who keeps his top off. Hey, you guys, that's why you have Targa tops... They do come off, look it up in your owner's manuals. Hey, and another hint... you'll get more pics with girls that way. Yep, remove your top ( your car top that is ) and you can be the guy on the right, LOL !!!! What's that? You girls want a ride? No prob. Just squeeze in tight... What, there's only two seats? No prob... 7 of you can sit with me in the driver's seat and one of you can take the passenger seat... Believe me it works. I'm a professional... WOO HOO , YEAH BABY !!!!! Yes, I love my car. Even more when it's looking like this !
Here's a pic of the waitress staff... WOW !!!! They have my vote... They were all just as beautiful and nice as can be.
WOW! Thanks, ladies, for taking the time to come out and take some pics with the cars. You girls make our cars look even better!
Ok, so what if everyone is inside ready to eat. I have the whole staff out here with me... So they have to wait for me anyway, LOL ! Yep , I'm da MAN TODAY !
Here is Dennis, Amanda, and Gene. Dennis being the chick magnet that he his ( I plead the 5th ) is showing Gene how it's done. And you can see Gene thinking, " Maybe if I look away from the camera, my wife will think I had nothing to do with this".
Here's one of the waitresses with Markham's Vette. I use to wonder why Markham is always falling a sleep at the GTGs. Now I know, it's his Corvette, Look at the effect it has on this waitress ( even she's falling asleep ). LOL !
WAIT, STOP THE PICS ! Hey, Amanda, this is not a laughing pic. This is supposed to be a serious HANG TEN pic.
WOO HOO... Now that's it ! HANG TEN ! Thanks Amanda for letting the girls come out and take pics with the cars and you for doing the same. You guys were great to us. Next time we'll do the bikini Pic ( personal joke between Amanda and me... And No I'm not telling it to anybody. ) !!!!
Here's the group in our private room. I like to think we got this room because we are special. Or was it because after meeting Dennis and Gene they knew they had to put us as far away as possible from the regular customers... Thanks Dennis and Gene for arranging this for us!!!!
Here you see Dennis holding his belly button with that pouty look. Look, there's Bob in the yellow plaid shirt going, " Oh goody, I get to be in a pic again" , and Jeff on the right going "Umm that looks really good. Can I have a bite"?
Here you see Gene ( in the white shirt ) saying to Dennis, " If I see you again touching your belly button I'm going to throw this glass at you".
Here's Dennis saying, " Hey Gene, want to touch my belly button" ?
Here's Jim thinking to himself, " Man, Robb warned me not to sit by Markham. He said this would happen. What do I do now"?
Husband and wife conversation: Bob, " Hey, honey what are you going to order"? Joyce, "Honey give me a minute, I can't find the menu, I'm going to have to put my glasses on".
Here's Paul ( in the orange shirt ) saying to is wife, " Honey, since I just got through putting on that Cam, Headers, Intake, and ..... on the 'Vette, do you think you could just order water? LOL!!! Paul, your car sound great ! Can't wait to go for a ride!
Here's Jeff teaching the boys the correct amount of concentration needed in order to inhale one's steak.
OOH, OOH ! Pick me, I'll do it!
Ahoy, Maties, I thinks she likes me !

The cute couple of the night award goes to...................Dennis and Joann! Way to go guys !

Man it was a blast. This group of people have got to be the funnest bunch. A special thanks to Dennis and Gene for setting this up for us all and a special thanks to Amanda and the whole staff at Texas Land & Cattle Steak House in Denton

CORVETTE FRIENDS This pic was taken in Munster, Tx. We all went for some German food. I picked out the route. It was a fun scenic route but it was the long way there... The very, long way there ( As Joanne put it ). Here's Jim and Nancy with their 2000 convertible. Jim has done a lot of work to it... Headers, Cam, Heads, Intake, X-pipe, Corsa exshaust, tuned, brake calipers powder coated red,a sweet set of rims and the list goes on...Here is Jims' Corvette Here's John with his C6. Mufffin ( his dog ) gets to ride in this beauty too. Muffin even has his own seatbelt for dogs. You can always find John making the car show rounds. He doesn't enter them but he loves looking at all the cars. And here is Muffim saluting Lady Zs' vette. Muffin is a service dog. Here's a pic of us at Sneaky Pete's. ( left to right) Dennis, Joanne, me ( Elio ), Helga, John and Karen. Here's Lady Z. I was trying to show her how to do the Hang Ten sign. Now all she needs is a surfboard strapped to the top of that ZO6 Here is Bill and I at a car show. We had no idea this car show was so far south. By the time we got to the turn off road off of I-35... we saw a sign that said Austin 60 miles. Bill has a nice '72 Stingray that he's owned since high school. Yes, he bought this car back in high school and it has been his daily driver ever since. He's either really cheap or very smart... depends on who you ask... LOL !
Here's a couple of pics of his 'Vette.
Here is Joanne making this nice 'Vette look even better.
Here's Joanne taking a pic by the Barbie 'Vette.
Here's Dennis and I with Barbie !
A pic of Karen and Helga. This was taken on the way to Munster, Tx.
A pic of Helga's 2007 Vette
Here is a pic of Dennis and Joanne. We all made a bathroom stop on the way to Munster. I don't know what they were doing in the bathroom but they sure came out smiling... As you can see.
Here is a pic of thier Corvette. You can see mine in the background.
Here is Kelly on the far left saying: "Did you guys see that bird I almost hit... It was this big" ! Yeah ...Uh Huh... If you say so Kelly. It was really just a Road Runner... I saw it! LOL!!!!
I was trying to get Dennis to do a pouty face... But it didn't work... That boy does nothing but laugh.
A pic of the boys. Left to right... Dennis, me ( Elio ), Bob, Robb ( Bob's son ), and Clete. This was taken at the car show at Baby Dolls... I plead the 5th.
Here's Robb getting a ticket in the parking lot at the car show. You see the officer telling him, "Sir, you can't be using that Nitrous for personal consumption, it's only for racing...So I'm sighting you for public inhalation of Nitrous... And you can see Robb telling him , "But Officer it doesn't say that on the bottle" !
YEAH, Baby ! Now if I could just get my hands on the keys !!!!!!!!!

Here is a pic of Mrs Simpson and her boyfriend, Cicel. Mrs Simpson is Bill's mom. She is the sweetest, kindest lady you can meet with a huge love for life. She still loves to dance and she loves Corvettes. Here she is with my 'Vette and Bill's green Stingray.

I will keep posting new pics as I get them, so check back for updates.

CORVETTE Make A Wish Kids This young man rode with me in my car at Texas Motor Speedway ( The famous Nascar track ). I took him for 3 laps around the Nascar track as part of the Make A Wish Kids Day. We followed a pace car along with about 18 other 'Vettes with their Make A Wish kids in their Vettes. These kids are something else. It was a vey humbling day. To see the smiles on their faces as they climbed into the 'Vettes, and to see the thrill they got as they were driven around the track, was just indescribable. But most of all, to talk to the parents and family members and learn about what these kids and their families go through every day will make all your problems seem so small if not disappear. It was a most fulfilling day. I can't wait to do it again next year. SO enjoy the pics. The smiles speak for themselves.
This was the staging area... where we would load the kids into the 'Vettes
Here is our Make A Wish Kids Corvette Train.
Here we are waiting to get on the track. The lane on the right has the Make A Wish Kids.As the kids got out of the cars they were given a free 1/24 scale diecast model of a Corvette.
Some of the hard workers from Lone Star Corvette Club who sponsored the whole event. Sorry I do not have more pics. I was out there with John but he and I stayed so busy giving kids rides that we didn't have much time to stop and take pics. I hope to get my wife, Karen to come out and take pics for us next year.
